Creatine Pyruvate Complex Additional
Product Information
We do not make any medical claims and we provide the following written
information for the sole purpose of informing you as to various items
of interest from several independent sources concerning the various
ingredients found in our Creatine Pyruvate Complex.
What is Pyruvate...?
Pyruvate is the "salt" for of Pyruvic Acid. Pyruvic Acid
is a naturally occurring substance found in various foods (especially
in certain types of fruits and vegetables) and is produced in our
bodies as a by product of glucose metabolism. Pyruvic Acid is very
unstable by itself and must be bonded with some other substance
(most commonly used are minerals including sodium, calcium, potassium
and magnesium). Pyruvate is the stable salt or compound resulting
from this process.
Results from Clinical Studies on Pyruvate...
Two studies on Pyruvate were conducted at the University of Pittsburgh
Medical Center. The results of this research established Pyruvate
as being beneficial for:
- Increased levels in muscle endurance.
- Increased muscle mass.
- Increased fat loss by as much as 48%.
- Increased levels of glucose extraction.
What is Creatine Pyruvate...?
Creatine Pyruvate is the compound formed when Pyruvic Acid is bonded
with Creatine. The benefits of the Creatine content give Creatine
Pyruvate an added dimension not found in other forms of Pyruvic
Acid.
Points of Interest...
As remarkable as Creatine Monohydrate is, the Creatine found in
Creatine Pyruvate" can possibly be up to 5 times more effective.
This can also hold true for the Pyruvic Acid in this particular
form when compared to other Pyrvate compounds. The reason for the
increased effect can be attributed to the way in which "Creatine
Pyruvate is absorbed by the body. After being ingested, Creatine
Pyruvate is split by hydrochloric acid in the stomach into the ionic
forms of Creatine and Pyruvic Acid.
Each substance is then absorbed directly into the bloodstream without
having to be converted by the liver. This gives Creatine Pyruvate
a distinct advantage over other forms of Pyruvate along with the
following additional benefits:
- No loss of actives due to liver conversion.
- No mineral content means, no excessive intake of sodium, calcium,
etc. commonly present in other forms of Pyruvate.
- Creatine Pyruvate contains no crystalline water content that
can result in water retention sometimes caused by Creatine Monohydrate
or chelated Pyruvic Acid.
Final Analysis...
With it's increased efficiency, every gram of Creatine Pyruvate
could potentially be equal to as much as 5 grams of other forms
of Pyruvate. This translates into a significant reduction in the
required number of grams per day to be effective when using Creatine
Pyruvate.
Additional Creatine Pyruvate Info...
This new supplement called Creatine Pyruvate is the combination
of Creatine Monohydrate and Pyruvate. This unique nutritional formula
possesses many performance enhancing effects that strongly suggest
it may boost energy and endurance.
Creatine Pyruvate helps to regenerate the Creatine stores that are
used primarily in muscles that are involved in short, intense contractions.
Creatine Pyruvate may also serve as a buffer, delaying the point
at which lactic acid causes muscle fatigue and discomfort. Increasing
Creatine Pyruvate energizes muscles for prolonged endurance and
optimal work output in activities such as weight lifting and sprinting.
The Pyruvate in Creatine Pyruvate stimulates glucose extraction
from blood into muscles during exercise and at rest, priming muscles
with a carbohydrate content essential for greater endurance.
In clinical studies, the Pyruvate in Creatine Pyruvate reduced gain
in body fat without reducing muscle protein, an important factor
in increasing lean muscle mass. Supplementation with Creatine Pyruvate
provides complimentary nutritional support for maximizing muscular
performance and endurance in high intensity exercise programs.
For years scientific researchers have understood the importance
and efficacy of dietary supplementation with both creatine and pyruvic
acid. The challenge, for them to overcome, has been in the stabilization
of these highly unstable pure elements, creatine and pyruvic acid.
The bonding agents that have been used in the past have had associated
side effects such as inducing fluid retention, overloading the body
with the respective bonding agent and creating difficulty for the
body in splitting off the bonding agent. The new compound, creatine
pyruvate, is an absolute scientific breakthrough in both creatine
and pyruvic acid research. Finally they have discovered a special
bond that will stabilize hydrochloric acid which actually splits
the bond. Thus both products are absorbed in their pure element
forms and utilized much more efficiently and effectively.
What is Creatine Pyruvate...?
Creatine pyruvate is a new compound, patent pending, which contains
pure Creatine which is molecularly bonded to pure Pyruvic Acid in
a 60/40 concentration ratio. With this type of bond the compound
actually splits in the stomach in the presence of hydrochloric acid.
Therefore, all unwanted side effects associated with bonding agents
are eliminated, as will as the need for processing by the liver
for the separation of bonding agents. The product also facilitated
gastric emptying, especially helpful for those on frequent feeding
schedules. It is important to note that this product is not a blend
of creatine monohydrate or mineral chelated pyruvate (calcium, magnesium,
potassium, or sodium).
What is the difference between Creatine Monohydrate and Creatine
Pyruvate...?
Creatine is most commonly bound to monohydrate, but can also be
bound to either citrate or phosphate. The monohydrate or crystalline
water portion of this product caused measurable fluid retention
which some individuals find undesirable. These common used forms
of creatine must be absorbed in the bonded form, which the body
recognized as a foreign substance, and then travels trough the blood
stream to the liver where the bonding agent is split off from the
creatine and the free monohydrate of crystalline water is released
to pull water into the tissues. Some of the creatine is also lost
via conversion reactions. Creatine Pyruvate on the other hand does
not contain any crystalline water and therefore does not cause any
fluid retention whatsoever. In every gram (1000mg.) of the new compound
Creatine Pyruvate you will get 600mg. of pure creatine, and no accompanying
fluid retention!
What is the difference between mineral bonded Pyruvate and Creatine/Pyruvate...?
Pyruvic Acid is most commonly bound to calcium or sodium. The problem
arises with the total mineral consumption with a daily Pyruvate
dosage of 5 grams (5000mg.) a person is also ingesting 1100mg. of
either sodium or calcium. Taking 15 grams of Pyruvate will give
you 3300mg. of either sodium or calcium, 30 grams of Pyruvate gives
you 6600mg. of either sodium or calcium, and so on.
High sodium intake causes fluid retention, and excessive calcium
intake can lead to calcium deposits in the muscles and can promote
the formation of kidney and gallbladder stones. Being free of all
minerals, Pyruvatine eliminates this problem all together. The mineral
chelated pyruvate products also contains 18% crystalline water which
leads to unwanted fluid retention.
